This past weekend Andy and I took advantage of the time honored tradition of wine tasting and macaroni and cheese. Okay, so maybe two years in a row doesn't qualify as "time honored," but believe me when I say it should be. This was our second (and certainly not our last) annual Mac and Cheese Cookoff with the wineries of the Old Mission Penninsula (aka, Andy's old stomping ground). That's right folks, we spent most of the day on Saturday touring the wineries (there are five) and sampling the best mac and cheese area restaurants have to offer.

Grapes on the vine. Kind of like corn on the cob, but with more potential.

What Andy and I are actually demonstrating in these pictures is that wine tasting + gourmet macaroni and cheese = rampant silliness. **Disclaimer: For those of you concerned parents out there, don't worry, we weren't driving.**

We'd like to thank the good people at Wineries of Old Mission Penninsula (www.wineriesofoldmission.com) for coming up with such a great idea in the first place. We'd also like to thank our enthusiastic DD, Trish, for putting up with our shennanigans.

Sounds like a Good Tradition to me!
Plan on coming back!
Consider the wineries just a bit to the west. Esp. Mawby's.
