Hidden Pond

We had a nice walk today at the Hidden Pond Nature Area (I'd link to its website, but then it wouldn't be very hidden would it). Once we got off the paved "nature trail" it was a nice little walk in the woods. Molly is starting to associate the word 'water' with things other than drinking water, as shown by seeing the stream and "saying" water and signing water too.

The other cool thing about the hike was we saw a pair of red-tailed hawks. This was the first time any of us had seen them so up-close in the wild.

The nature area has programs for kids so I'm sure we'll be back over the years.

Those halks make traffic at our local Whole Foods a PIA:) (seriously there were sometimes dozens of people watching them!) They came back briefly this year too..
