Counting Our Way to Maine

As many of you know, but some of you don't, we're moving to Maine! We've been talking about moving back to New England for years now, but now, with the kids starting to need more space and fresh air, we've made the official decision, and have taken the gigantic step... we are under contract on a house in Southern Maine! Woo hoo! We're really excited and anxious to get there... it was instant love when we visited it. We both envisioned years of Christmas trees, kids' sports trophies, and, of course, pet food bowls. (I apologize for the disorganization of the pictures... don't have time to fight with Blogger to get them right!)

View from the Stone Pier down at the base of our street.

View from our Living Room into the Dining Room with the Kitchen just beyond on the left.

Location of outdoor ice rink. No, really.

Living Room built ins.

Rear of the house, sledding hill behind garage.

 Aforementioned stone pier.

View from the Living Room down to the water.

Side yard with swingset and large shed.

Ocean. :-D

Sledding Hill.

Kitchen (giant windows overlooking the water on the other side). Cat not included (we're bringing our own!).

 Semi-finished basement. a.k.a. Toddlerville.

Living Room.

Somehow ended up with no pictures of the bedrooms. There are 4. 3 on the upper level, and a gigantic master suite on the first floor. We're planning to use the large upstairs bedroom as our master until the kids are older... so guests get the ginormous master suite. Come one, come all!

Katie, Andy, Molly and Wes!! We are soooo happy for you and are anxiously waiting for you to be in Maine and closer to the family so we can all enjoy watching the kids grow up and know all their relatives on this side!! It is a gorgeous house and I know you will be most happy and the kids will have all kinds of room to roam and play! Congratulations!! Love you all! Grammie & Grandpa O.
