Maine Maple Sunday...

Sorta.

Usually Maine Maple Sunday is a time to enjoy fresh (as in seconds old) maple syrup treats. That was not to be this year however. For the sap to flow it needs to be in the 20s at night and 40s during the day. As I'm sure you've experienced, this winter has lasted a little longer and hasn't yet cooperated on that front.

That said, we still made the best of it.

Molly enjoyed taking a look at the "maple syrup" production.

While this looks like maple syrup boiling down, it's actually just water and there for visuals only.

Thankfully the kids didn't get too upset about the lack of fresh maple treats. The ride with the miniature ponies helped too.

After the relative bust at the sugar house we went to a nearby petting farm.

The maple soft serve ice cream capped off the day.
