Independence Day in December

You've all heard of Christmas in July, right? Someone must've decided it was time to return the favor, because the temperature topped out at 78 degrees outside today. That's right. It's almost the winter solstice and I was too warm in a long-sleeved shirt. I can't decide whether I'm pleased with this kind of freakishly warm winter weather, or just plain disappointed because it's hard to feel like it's Christmas when you could just as easily throw a few burgers and dogs on the grill in the backyard. I know how Andy feels about this situation, and I can guarentee it's not the former. Good thing we won't be disappointed for long... we fly to Maine (well, technically we fly to New Hampshire, but NH is really just a Maine wannabe anyway) on Thursday morning. New England Christmas, here we come!
