Over the River and Through the Woods...

After Christmas Molly had to try on her new outfits. Including this local favorite.

We also went to visit Katie's cousin Megan and her girls, Hazel and Stella. Hazel, who's a very intelligent and verbose three and a half, showed Molly all sorts of cool things. Like peek-a-boo.

Hazel is also a big hugger.

Hazel and Stella were kind enough to allow Molly to play on their piano. First though Daddy had to show her all he learned from years of piano practice (i.e. not much unfortunately).

Molly was a quick study and was soon pounding out Mozart and Bach with cross-over hands (What? She was. I'm sure some of what she played was the same things Mozart and Bach did at her age).

We also went on a sleigh ride and literally went over the river (melted snow) and through the woods to grandmother's house (via the car). Molly had a great time. Maybe it's because she was wearing reindeer antlers...

...or maybe because she wasn't the only one wearing reindeer antlers.

Our ride: Tom and Jerry. They were taking a much deserved break (wet, heavy snow + lots of people + sleigh = tired horses).

Thankfully though, both Tom and Jerry were up to a visit from Molly (really, who isn't?).

Grammie is certainly up for it!

While Tom and Jerry to a break, Gramp took up the reins and gave Molly her first time sledding.

Hazel used her hugging ability to help out.

This also gave Katie a well deserved break and allowed her to grab a s'more or two.

The sleigh ride, of course, brings us to GG Jan's house (not directly, the sleight ride was in Maine, GG Jan lives in New Hampshire). The last time Molly saw GG Jan we were in the midst of realizing her old car seat just didn't work for her (that was the trip with hours upon hours of screaming). Thankfully a new car seat and an older baby made a huge difference.

The last time Molly saw GG Jan she was displaying her new skill of rolling over. This time Molly showed off her ability to walk (with some help). It's pretty amazing how quickly things change.

We were also lucky enough to be joined by Steve's family, including Molly's cousins' Jack (on the left, sitting politely) and Nate (on the right, doing his best to wiggle out of my arms). Not pictured is Lauren and Molly's Great Uncle Matt and Great Aunt Brigitte, who finally got a chance to meet Molly.

The whole trip to New England was a success. Guess that means we'll have to go back.
