Le Chateau du Magoun

After 1 week of construction, we feel like we're living in a castle.

1. Austere interior? Check.
2. Rudimentary cooking space? Check.
3. Dirt-covered floors? Check.
4. Tower imprisonment lodging? Check. (Okay, so maybe "tower" is a stretch, but it is a single room on the top floor...)
5. Moat? Check.

Yup. You heard correct. We have ourselves a moat.


And the answer is no, we probably shouldn't have a moat. But 2 days of rain + pure clay = moat. Let's hope this is the only time our new foundation floods... better now than when the project is finished.

There's more bad news. Weatherman says there's a 90% chance that the rain continues tomorrow. Guess we'll just have to imagine what work might've been completed.
